Rule limits.
HiveNest works without a license for one active rule. A license unlocks unlimited active rules — this page explains exactly how the limit is counted and enforced.

What counts toward the limit
Only rules with the Active status count. Draft and inactive rules never count, so you can build and stage as many rules as you like and only activate the ones you need.
Existing rules are never deleted
HiveNest never deletes or silently disables your rules. If a site already runs more active rules than a new limit would allow — for example a previously licensed site whose license lapsed — those existing active rules keep running.
Over-limit behavior
The limit is enforced only when you try to activate an additional rule beyond it. Activating a new rule over the limit is blocked with a clear notice and the rule is kept as an inactive draft, so no work is lost. Editing, disabling, duplicating (as a draft), and deleting are always allowed.
The frontend always runs active rules
Visitors and the listing forms always run whatever rules are currently active. The limit governs activating more rules in wp-admin, not whether your live forms work.
