Quick answers to the questions we hear most about HiveNest licensing, rules, and behavior.
Does HiveNest work without a license?
Yes. Every install works without a license and includes one active rule. A license is only needed to run more than one active rule at a time.
What counts as an active rule?
Only rules set to the Active status. Draft and inactive rules never count toward the limit, so you can build and stage as many as you like and activate the ones you need.
Can I move a license to another site?
Yes. A Single Site license covers one site at a time. Open WP Admin → HiveNest → License on the old site and click Deactivate License to free the slot, then activate on the new site. Unlimited Sites licenses can be active on any number of sites at once.
Can I buy multiple licenses?
Yes. A customer can own multiple HiveNest licenses — for example several Single Site licenses, or a mix of Single Site and Unlimited Sites. When you sign in, your account lists every license tied to you.
Does this work with vendor, user, or booking forms?
Currently the supported public scope is the listing submit and listing edit forms. Support for additional HivePress form scopes (such as vendor, user profile, or booking forms) may be added in a future release.
Does it edit my theme templates?
No. HiveNest runs in Safe Mode: it only shows and hides the fields HivePress already renders. It never moves fields or edits your theme templates.
Does it delete hidden values?
No. By default HiveNest preserves values in hidden fields, so if a visitor fills a field, switches the trigger away, and switches it back, their earlier input is still there. A hidden required field also never blocks submission.
Does it work with ListingHive?
Yes. HiveNest is built and tested against HivePress with the ListingHive theme, and works with any setup where HivePress renders the listing submit and edit form attributes.
Is billing live yet?
Online checkout is not live yet. HiveNest is free to try with one active rule today; paid licenses are arranged with us directly until checkout launches.
